At the meeting, informed about the agenda of the seven sitting of the 15th N.A., voters in Regiment 271 expressed their delight at the operational quality of the 15th N.A and the delegation of N.A. deputies of Binh Duong province over the past time.

They made proposals on being early informed of salary reform policy in the armed forces, increase in the service age limit of officers according to the social insurance calculation method, highest military ranks for some positions.

Regarding troops’ homefront, voters expressed their wishes that the N.A, Ministry of National Defense, and authorities at all levels pay due attention to housing policy for officers, non-commissioned officers, tuition fee reduction or exemption policy for officers and non-commissioned officers’ children, and job support for relatives of needy troops, especially those working far from home. They suggested the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense give more care to young officers and non-commissioned officers who are heads of platoons and batteries, and closely work with local authorities to care for discharged soldiers.

Gen. Cuong briefed voters upon the outcomes of the 15th N.A. since the end of its six sitting, national socio-economic development and the military’s activities. He highly appreciated voters’ opinions, saying that they were common concern of troops in the whole military and national construction and defense requirements.

He said that functional agencies are verifying the scheme on new salary in the military. About the troops’ homefront, Gen. Cuong confirmed that it is always paid due attention to by the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense and many practical policies on the field have been carried out. He said that units should actively and flexibly realize the policies according to their capacity, and locality’s situation to help troops feel secured at work and complete tasks.

Speaking highly of Division 5’s performance in all aspects, Gen. Cuong asked Regiment 271 and other Division 5’s affiliates to strictly observe combat readiness regulations, continue to improve training quality, discipline observance, promote regularity building, and organize the “three explosions” test for recruits with safety and high results.

On the occasion, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong presented gifts to troops of Regiment 271.
