Defense leader extends Tet greetings to Brigade 144
PANO – A delegation of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by its Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, extended Tet (Lunar New Year) greetings and presented gifts to troops of Brigade 144 on January 20.
Reportedly, the brigade’s Party committee and chain-of-command have embraced and implemented higher levels’ directives on maintaining combat readiness and organizing Tet activities for troops.
The unit has focused on directing political and ideological education and promoting high sense of responsibility for troops while enhancing patrols during the upcoming Tet.
Addressing the working session with the brigade’s leadership, General Tan acknowledged the unit’s efforts and asked them to continue building plans and practicing exercises for combat readiness in response to any possible emerging situations. In addition, he urged them to ensure a safe, happy, and economical Tet for troops.
On this occasion, General Tan wished the unit’s troops a new year of new achievements and accomplishment of all assigned tasks.
