PANO – General Phung Quang Thanh Minister of National Defence on August 22nd met and talked with guards of Brigade 144 under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and of Military Police Battalion 103 under the Hanoi Capital Command, who have accomplished their military services.
257 demobilized troops from 11 provinces and cities in the North have completed their service. Among them, 62 were commended for their good performances and 15 were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam.
During the meeting, General Phung Quang praised the troops for their hard study, training, and efforts to fulfil their assigned mission of ensuring security for the defence ministry’s organisations.
The minister expressed his hope that the demobilized troops would continue promoting the beautiful nature of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and make more efforts to be successful in life after returning to their hometowns. The general asked them to study further, in order to ensure stable jobs so that they are able to contribute to local economic development.
