The boats will help the naval troops on Truong Sa Archipelago fulfill their national protection task in the current context.

The boats were designed by the Naval Technical Institute and built in Factory X70 of the Department of Technique. Each boat is 7.69 meters in length and 2.34 meters in width. With a maximum displacement of 2.8 tons, each boat can operate at a speed of 25 nautical miles per hour and can carry up to six people. Its hull is made of composite materials.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rear Admiral Pham Van Quang, Deputy Political Commissar of the Navy, expressed thanks for the care of the authorities and people of Yen Bai, Hung Yen and Ba Ria – Vung Tau provinces and personnel of the State Treasury of Vietnam and the Vietnam Railways Corporation. He stressed that the boats will help the naval troops on Truong Sa Archipelago fulfill their national protection task in the current context.
