Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San emphasized that the awarding of the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to the unit is the recognition of the Party and State for the unit’s promotion of its tradition and outstanding achievements gained in the new period.

The defense leader said that the world and regional situations are forecast to develop complicatedly, unprecedentedly with intertwined opportunities and challenges in the time to come. Thus, to well perform its functions of combat, work and production, Corps 12 should continue embracing and effectively implementing resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, State, Central Military Commission on military building, defense consolidation, and Fatherland protection coupled with national socio-economic development.

In addition, the unit should focus its direction and leadership on fulfilling the duties as a military unit of production, contributing to developing socio-economy in combination with defense, security consolidation, good business, and high combat readiness posture.

Corps 12 was urged to constantly innovate, improve quality of management, observe law while doing business and importantly develop into a large-scale, competent, experienced enterprise which is capable of carrying out key projects of the country and continue to affirm the brand and prestige of Truong Son’s soldiers.

At the event, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San handed over the First-class Fatherland Protection Order to Corps 12.
