At the event chaired by Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang, the GS and GDP’s leaders presented reports on the preparations for their respective Party congresses for the 2025-2030 term, focusing on the draft documents, personnel arrangements, and other necessary aspects.

Speaking at the event, Defense Minister Phan Van Giang acknowledged and praised the two Party Committees for thoroughly preparing and effectively directing subordinate Party organizations to successfully hold congresses. He noted that the draft documents had generally met quality standards with a well-structured layout and compliance with format and content regulations.

He emphasized the need for both Party Committees to fully absorb the feedback and recommendations shared during the meeting in order to revise their draft political reports and further enhance the quality of the documents.

Based on the reports, proposals, and delegates’ comments, General Giang directed the two Party Committees to adjust and supplement parts of its political report. He requested that the evaluation of the leadership's performance during the 2020–2025 term should be clearer and more concise, reflecting the significance of the achievements, especially in strategic advisory tasks and handling of emerging, unexpected missions. The defense leader added that the congresses should highlight the critical importance of building solidarity among Party Organizations.

In addition, General Giang made direct conclusions on personnel-related matters and expressed agreement with the proposed timeline for the congress. He directed the Party Committee of the GS – MND’s Organ to continue finalizing the draft documents and ensure proper orientation so that speeches at the congress are brief, concise, but impactful and persuasive.

Regarding the draft political report of the GDP’s Party Committee, the Defense Minister said that the assessment section should be more comprehensive and insightful, especially in terms of leading sudden or urgent missions and ensuring internal political security. He also requested further revision and clarification to the congress theme and motto.

General Giang agreed with the proposed personnel arrangements and the timeline for the congress, and asked the GDP’s Party Committee to continue refining its draft documents and other preparations to successfully organize its congress and make a strong impression.
