At the meeting held on July 9 morning, Major General Nguyen Quoc Duan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Commando Corps, delivered a report on the preparation work for the Party Congress, highlighting key aspects in the draft political report and personnel work.

After hearing the reports, participants contributed opinions and suggestions to help improve and finalize the draft documents to ensure the success of the event.

In his concluding remarks, Gen. Chien acknowledged and praised the Party Committee of the Commando Corps for its strict and thorough implementation of higher-level directions and guidance, ensuring quality and progress of the preparation work. He spoke highly of the documents, saying that they were comprehensive, carefully prepared, and in line with regulations and instructions.

An overview of the event

Gen. Chien asked the Corps’ Party Committee to incorporate opinions during the meeting, particularly the strategic guidance from leaders of the General Department of Political Affairs and the General Staff, into draft reports promptly.

Emphasizing the importance the congress holds in determining the future development path of the unit, Gen. Chien asked the unit’s Party Committee to continue refining and enriching the contents of all working aspects that the leadership should focus on and propose a development path that aligns with the Corps’ status, functions, and missions in the new context.

He particularly highlighted the need for high-level strategic directions in building the commando force in line with practical demands and specification of the breakthroughs to be made to ensure that they reflect the elite and specialized nature of the commando force.
