CMC hands over personnel decisions
PANO - The Central Military Commission (CMC) held a meeting on July 20 in Hanoi to hand over decisions on personnel in the military under the chair of General Ngo Xuan Lich, member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the CMC, and Minister of National Defense.

The event was also attended by Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, and Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff.
Based on the proposals of the CMC, the Prime Minister signed decisions to appoint three new deputy defense ministers, including Lieutenant General Vu Hai San, flCommander of Military Region 3, Vice Admiral Pham Hoai Nam, Commander of the Naval Service, and Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard.
On behalf of the CMC and the Ministry of National Defense (MND), General Lich congratulated the newly-appointed deputy ministers, stressing that the appointments display the recognition by the Party, State, CMC, and MND of the officers’ dedication and contribution to the Vietnam People’s Army.
He hoped that the deputy defense ministers will continue promoting their moral responsibilities and capabilities to fulfill all assigned missions, contributing to building the people’s military to be increasingly “revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern” so as to meet the requirements of firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the current context.
