Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong inquires after Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich.

During the meeting, Gen. Cuong inquired after and wished Gen. Lich good health. He hoped that the former defense minister would continue to contribute constructive opinions and valuable experience to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to successfully lead and direct task implementation. 

On this occasion, the chief of the General Staff reported Gen. Lich on the outstanding achievements in military and defense missions in the first six months. He emphasized that under the direction of the General Staff, the whole military has successfully completed both regular and unscheduled tasks.

Gen. Lich expressed delight at the results obtained by the military over the past time and believed that under the leadership and direction of the Party, State, directly the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, the whole military will successfully fulfill the two strategic missions of building and protecting the Fatherland.

The delegation also offered incense and paid tribute to former Chief of the General Staff and former Deputy Defense Minister Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Khac Nghien. 

Gen. Cuong expressed deep respect and gratitude to great contribution of the late general and hoped that his family would continue to uphold the family’s tradition and make contribution to the development of the nation and the military.
