Specifically, it has helped uphold border sovereignty and security, keep political security, social order and safety in border areas stable. Notably, the provincial border guard force has achieved many feats-of-arms, affirming its role in the border areas.
The provincial border guard force has exerted all-out efforts, actively built the whole people’s border guard posture combined with the whole people’s defense disposition and people’s security posture. Its border posts have well carried out the movement “Provincial border guard force joins hands in building new-style rural areas,” the program “Border spring warms up people’s heart,” and models “Voluntary Saturday,” “Green-clean-beautiful Sunday,” “Clean up the sea,” “Border class,” “Paving the way to school for children - Adopted children of border posts,” contributing to local socio-economic development, poverty reduction, and closer military-civilian relations, helping build wealthier and stronger border areas.

Applauding the command for its achievements gained over the past time, Gen. Tuan asked its Party committee and Chain-of-command to fix shortcomings, promote solidarity, unity, and build a stronger command. To this end, they should enhance political education, manage troops’ thought, further care for troops’ material and spiritual life, build a strong and healthy Party organization, a comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical unit, promote responsibility of setting example for cadres, and fulfill all assigned missions.
The command was urged to closely work with local forces and functional agencies to manage and ensure order and security in border areas, border gates and effectively fight against crimes with support from local people.
The border guard leader requested border posts to maintain good models to help locals develop socio-economy, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; and build a strong whole people’s border guard posture.
