PANO - The steering board of anti-peace evolution in ideology and culture under the Central Military Party Commission (Steering Board 94) organized a regular conference to review its activities in the first 6 months of 2012, on July 18th in Hanoi.

Mr. Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Committee of Propaganda and Education; Senior Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich, Secretary of the Central Party Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Party Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics, Chief of the Steering Board 94, attended the event.

In the first half of this year, the Board has made recommendations to the Commission to guide the whole-army to thoroughly grasp and implement instructions and circulars, to build action programs, to specify measures and to carry out the 4th Central Party Resolution, Term 11, in close attachment to the fight against low awareness and distorted arguments by hostile forces and to unify leadership and organization of the fight against peace evolution in ideology and culture in the whole army.

Moreover, the role of relevant forces in the ideological and cultural combat has been promoted.

Notably, experiences, acquired in the fight against peace evolution in ideology and culture, have been used to improve troops’ awareness in politics, ideology, and revolutionary vigilance.

As well, party committees at all levels have focused their education on the combat against any sophisticated, wicked and malicious plots of hostile forces, and on activeness in preventing own peace evolution and own change to build strong units.

Attentively, the press and lecturers have acted as vanguards in the fight against wrong and reactionary viewpoints and in disclosing schemes of hostile forces in contribution to defending the Party’s viewpoints and policies and encouraging new elements and good examples.

In his speech, Mr. Dinh The Huynh highly appreciated the Board’s achievements. He stressed that in the context of facing sophisticated and obvious plots of hostile forces in ideology and culture, the mission to fight against peace evolution must be implemented actively, requiring improvement of troops’ awareness, insight into wrong information and argument of hostile forces, combat readiness of forces and equipment for the Party and State’s policies and viewpoints as well as just cause.

For his part, Senior Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich made a concluding speech that the Board has actively and efficiently carried out their missions. The improved quality of and efficiency in fights against peace evolution in ideology and culture have contributed to promoting the Party’s ideological battlefield in the army, ensuring the army to be an ever-faithful force and firm support to the Party, the State and people.

As regard to the coming tasks, the General said that the Board should strictly implement their scheduled tasks. Army units should further give education on politics and ideology for their troops to make them more aware of situations of the country, army and units and of distinction between subjects and partners so as to be unambiguous and stay alert.

Furthermore, the study and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples, emulation campaigns must be accelerated to build strong and healthy units.

Moreover, the collective strength of forces should be further brought into play.

Importantly, the fight against wrong viewpoints of hostile forces must be actively conducted.
