Army Radio-Television Center asked to focus on building manpower
PANO – In the coming time, the Army Radio-Television Center should renew its programs and pay attention to carrying out key missions with a focus on recruiting reporters, technicians and workers with high expertise, and building on a contingent of professional staff.
The request was made by Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, during a meeting with the center’s leaders on March 16.
Praising the center’s achievements over the past time, General Cuong asked the unit to firmly keep the principles of the revolutionary press and continue the fight against hostile forces’ schemes of “peaceful evolution” and their plots to depoliticize the military. He emphasized that the center should foster solidarity and strengthen cooperation with civilian and military press agencies to raise the efficiency of task implementation.
According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Kim Ton, the center’s Director, the unit has effectively disseminated information relating national construction and defense; military and defense affairs; force building; socio-economic development, and external relations policies on channels of Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, and QPVN. It has also paid attention to renewing and raising the quality of programs to attract more civilian and military viewers.
