Reports delivered at the ceremony revealed that amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, Army Corps 15 has applied various creative measures to successfully fulfill its dual tasks of production and pandemic prevention and control.

In particular, its revenue reached 113.4% of the set plan. The unit has also ensured a stable average income of VND 7.2 million/ month for its workers. The army corps has received and quarantined 2,533 people coming from pandemic-affected localities and provided three doses of COVID-19 vaccine for 100% of its troops and workers. It has also presented 50.000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine to local people and donated cash and necessities to support pandemic prevention and control efforts.

With its outstanding achievements in pandemic prevention and control, the State President presented the third-class Labor Order to Army Corps 15 and its Commander Senior Colonel Hoang Van Sy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Binh congratulated and highly appreciated the unit for its achievements over the past 37 years as well as outcomes in pandemic prevention and control.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff asked the army corps to thoroughly embrace the Party’s guidelines, State’s policies and law, and resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on economic development in combination with defense consolidation.

He urged the unit to continue raising training quality and combat readiness capability, conducting production mission in line with the law, fostering cooperation with local Party committees, authorities, and people, and actively participating in building new-style rural areas and ensuring political security and public order.
