Delegates touring technical innovations at the meeting 
Present at the meeting were Rear Admiral Dang Minh Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam People’s Navy (VPN), and 131 delegates representing 1,800 Youth Union members from 12 grassroots Youth Union organizations of agencies and units in the region.

At the meeting, participants reviewed the Youth Union's activities and youth movements in the previous term. Over the past five years, Youth Union members in the region have always maintained strong political stance, upheld the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, unity and discipline to overcome difficulties to fulfill all assigned tasks.

Delegates also pointed out the shortcomings, causes and lessons learnt in implementing Youth Union activities, then worked out directions and tasks for Youth Union’s activities and youth movements in the next five years.

The congress elected 16 official and two alternate delegates representing Youth Union members of the region to participate in the eighth Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the VPN.
