The exercise, the third of its kind this year, saw an increase in the number of involved pilots, aircraft and supporting forces. Notably, most of the participating pilots have just finished the training course for fighters and armed helicopters.

Despite bad weather, the participants made great efforts to overcome hardships and fulfill the exercise’s goals.

Major General Vu Van Kha, Deputy-Commander and Chief of Staff of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, held that the exercise contributes to improving commanders’ capabilities, especially in combat readiness and collaboration with relevant forces.

The service will direct its functional agencies to map out shortcomings and complement to the training contents to better fulfill its assigned missions in the time to come, he added.
