Troops conduct live-fire missile exercise
PANO - The Air Defense Air Force Service opened a live-fire low-altitude missile exercise for Army air defense troops at the National Shooting Range Region 1 on November 21.
Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh,
Commander of the Air Defense Air Force Service and Air Defense Chief of the
whole military, commanded the exercise. Other agencies of the General Staff,
the Army Air Defense Department, Military Region 1 and other relevant forces
joined the opening ceremony.
According to the schedule, 16
participating units conduct single-shooting events and pair-shooting in the
squadron formation contents. Based on the results of the single-shooting
events, the steering board of the exercise will define units with best results
for combined events.
Addressing the opening ceremony,
Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh highly appreciated the preparations of relevant
forces and required participating units to closely grasp the exercise’s goal
and requirements so as to smoothly conduct the exercise as planned, ensuring
absolute safety and drawing valuable lessons learnt.
