In his speech at the ceremony, Major General Ha Xuan Truong, Director of the Air Defense - Air Force Academy, highlighted the Academy's feats-of-arms during the national resistance war against U.S. invaders. Initially known as the Anti-aircraft Artillery Officer Training School, the academy simultaneously undertook multiple tasks, including training for combat readiness and direct participation in the fight against U.S. air raids on North Vietnam. Despite various challenges, the academy always upholds the spirit of good teaching, good learning, good work, and strict discipline. Currently, the academy boasts a relatively modern and synchronized system of facilities and equipment, capable of multi-disciplinary training across various educational levels.
