At each locality, medical personnel of Coast Guard Region 2 worked closely with local forces to ensure the strict observance of the pandemic prevention and control. The unit guided participants to keep distance from each other, provided medical facemasks, and conducted COVID-19 tests for youth before they headed to their units.

The same day, units under Division 330 of Military Region 9 completed receiving youths from seven Mekong Delta provinces and cities while strictly exercising pandemic prevention and control regulations.

Before that, Division 330’s units closely cooperated with localities to review and select the most outstanding youths to join the military, contributing to ensuring the quality of its enlistment drive 2022.

In Nam Khe ward, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province, Regiment 244 of the provincial military command received recruits on February 16.

After the recruits arrived at Regiment 244, the unit’s medical personnel conducted different pandemic prevention measures, including disinfecting recruits, measuring their body temperature, and guiding them to complete health declaration forms.

The same day, Division 968 of Military Region 4 welcomed youths from six districts, towns, and city of Thua Thien Hue province to the unit.

As the pandemic situation in the province is complicated, all enlisted youths were required to test negative for SARS-CoV-2 using RT-PCR. Before welcoming recruits, the unit disinfected the whole barracks and prepared a quarantined area to deal with unexpected situation.

Armored Brigade 416 of Military Region 9 completed receiving youths from Chau Thanh district of Tien Giang province and Phu Tan district of An Giang province.

After receiving recruits, the brigade performed COVID-19 antigen rapid tests for them and re-checked their health as regulated by the Ministry of National Defense to ensure that all troops are qualified for the new training season.

In Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces, units under Army Corps 4 welcomed youths from 10 localities in southern localities. To ensure the quality of the enlistment drive, agencies and units worked with localities to carefully select outstanding youths to join the military. This year, many youths in the three localities are party members and hold university and college degrees.
