During the two-day event, competitors performed their skills, using portable fire-fighting equipment and other specialized vehicles, rescuing people, and moving properties to prevent fire from spreading. They also conducted fire-fighting plans, and demonstrated extinguishing of aircraft fire.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Major General Pham Truong Son, Second-in-Command of the ADAF Service, Head of the Steering Board of the competition stressed that the festival aimed to review the training outcomes in fire-fighting and search and rescue operations to work out future training orientations. It will help raise professional expertise of fire-fighters and search and rescue troops of the service, as well as improve commanding competence and coordination among participating units.
