Young Indian officers visit Vietnam
PANO – A delegation of young Indian officers, led by Captain Ankit Agarwal, visited the High-tech Telecommunication Center under the Signal Corps of the Vietnam People’s Army on September 4.
The visit was part of the exchange program of the young Indian officer delegation in Vietnam from September 3 to 7.

Welcoming the delegation, Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung, Deputy Political Chief of the Signal Corps, said that Vietnam and India are enjoying a time-honored traditional friendship, which was founded by President Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and nurtured by the two peoples.
In recent years, relations between the two countries in general and cooperation between the two militaries in particular have witnessed significant developments in many fields.
The two countries have lifted their relationship to the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, he added.
The officer said that the Signal Corps actively enhanced cooperation with Indian counterparts in information technology and foreign language training. He believed the visit would contribute to fostering the bilateral cooperation between the two militaries.
During the program, young Indian officers were introduced to the history, functions and missions of the Signal Corps and the Center.
Both sides also discussed several contents related to signal officers’ training, rights of military officers, and measures to cope with cyberterrorism.
On the same day, the young Indian officer delegation visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and had an exchange with officers of the Army Officer Training College No.1.
