Young border officers of Vietnam, Cambodia exchange
PANO - Themed “Nurturing Tradition, Shaping the Future,” the Vietnam-Cambodia Young Border Officers Exchange 2025 took place on the evening of November 12, in Tay Ninh province.
The event was broadcast live on the Vietnam National Defense Television Channel and rebroadcast on HTV1 and various local stations.
This was part of the second Vietnam - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

The program included two parts, namely “Vietnam - Cambodia: Everlasting Friendship” and “Youth Nurturing Tradition, Shaping the Future.”
During the exchange, delegates enjoyed cultural performances highlighting the solidarity, friendship, youth, patriotism, and the beauty of soldiers from both nations. Reports highlighted the close-knit ties between the two peoples and militaries, the deep historical roots of defense cooperation, and the shared spirit of “helping friends is helping ourselves” with a message that “no peace can be sustainable without sincere friendship.” Reports also emphasized that border defense friendship exchanges play a meaningful political and social role in Vietnam - Cambodia relations and underscore the contribution of border youth and young officers in strengthening bilateral solidarity and friendship.

During the event, participants also shared stories about Vietnam - Cambodia friendship; the results of coordination between border protection forces in managing and safeguarding the shared border; and joint efforts to help border residents develop production. The role of youth, especially young military officers, in cultivating solidarity and friendship between the two countries was also spotlighted, affirming that mutual affection and support are key to jointly protecting the shared border.
Participants expressed confidence and high expectations in the young generations to continue cultivating the friendship and unity between the two nations and their militaries.

At the event, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense presented the “Paving the way to school for students” scholarships to 60 disadvantaged students from Vietnam’s Tay Ninh province and Cambodia’s Svay Rieng province.
