The Vietnamese team's tank |
On August 21 at Alabino training ground on the outskirts of Moscow, the third tank crews of Russian, Chinese, Belarusian, and Kyrgyzstan teams in group 1 competed in the qualifying round of the “Tank Biathlon” contest.
The results of the final competitions in the qualifying round determined eight best contingents to compete in the semi-finals.
The “Tank Biathlon” contest of the Army Games 2022 attracts the participation of 21 teams, which are divided into two groups. The first group is comprised of teams from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia. The second one consists of 11 teams from Abkhazia, Armenia, Zimbabwe, Iran, Laos, Mali, Myanmar, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, and South Ossetia.

* The same day, the “Army of Culture” contingent of the Vietnam People’s Army had a group performance at Patriot Park on the outskirts of Moscow to serve the online voting. At the event, the Vietnamese artists performed the “Bai ca Ho Chi Minh” (Ballad of Ho Chi Minh) song. Art troupes from other twelve participating countries also performed at the event.

* As of the afternoon of August 21, the “Tactical Shooter” and “Meridian” were two more contingents of the Vietnam People’s Army having completed contests within the Army Games 2022. The “Tactical Shooter” contingent finished the competition in the fourth position, while the “Meridian” team ranked fifth among the participating countries.
