Army Games 2022: Vietnamese tank contingent finishes qualifying round
PANO – Team No.3 of the Vietnamese Tank Contingent, on August 20, at Alabino training ground, completed their third competition in the qualifying round in Group 1 of the “Tank biathlon” event in the framework of the Army Games 2022.
Vietnam’s third tank crew, consisting of chief of the crew Major Phung Anh Cuong, gunner non-commissioned Captain Pham Van Anh, and driver non-commissioned Lieutenant Do Quoc Tuan, entered their competition with the rivals from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Venezuela.

The Vietnamese tank crew completed their performance, destroying four out of five targets and finishing the race after 29 minutes 08 seconds. Meanwhile, crews from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan destroyed all five targets and finished the race after 23 minutes 52 seconds, and 24 minutes and 54 seconds, respectively. The Venezuela rivals destroyed two targets out of five and finished their competition after 39 minutes 51 seconds.
The final result will be announced after the meeting of referees.

Earlier, during the qualifying round on August 13 and 16, the first and second crews of the Vietnamese Tank contingent finished their races after 34 minutes and 50 seconds, and 32 minutes and 21 seconds, respectively. Both of them destroyed four targets out of five.
Basing on the results of three crews of participating contingents, the organizing board will select best eight teams to enter the semi-finals.
