Implementing the contents mentioned in the exchange between the two units in 2023, the Houaphanh provincial Military Command required the Vietnamese side to provide rice for them to raise the quality of troops’ life as the economic conditions of the unit as well as the locality are still low.

Therefore, during the visit, the Son La provincial Military Command presented 3.5 tons of rice and gifts to the Lao side. These gifts contributed to deepening the close ties, solidarity and friendship between the two commands.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese military unit extended congratulation message to troops of the Houaphanh provincial Military Command on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the Lao People’s Army (January 20, 1949 - 2024).

For his part, Colonel Phouthith Senepheng, Second-in-command of the Houaphanh provincial Military Command, expressed his deep thanks to the Vietnamese side for their support, hoping that in the time to come, both sides would strengthen coordination, information exchange and experience sharing in maintaining security and social order and safety in border areas.
