The activity was conducted on the occasion of the Chol Chnam Thmay Traditional Festival of the Cambodian people.

At the event held at Dak Dam Infirmary, medical personnel from the Dak Nong provincial Military Command provided health check-ups for local people, using modern machine and medical equipment. Local people were also provided with measures to prevent diseases and stay healthy in post-pandemic time.

Dak Dam commune of Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province borders Quang Truc commune, Tuy Duc district, Vietnam’s Dak Nong province. The commune has 705 households with a total population of more than 2,000 people. The locality is home to Khmer, Cham, and Pu Nong (M’nong) ethnic groups. At present, the poverty rate is around 83.4%. Locals are facing numerous difficulties.

Learning the situation, medical personnel of the Vietnamese command tried their best to provide health examination and medicines for 800 people.

On the occasion, the Dak Nong provincial Military Command handed over 300 gift packages, including rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, salt, candies, mononatri glutamate, sugar to poor households. The total cost for the activity was VND 270 million.
