Vietnamese, Lao officers share experience in military youth work
PANO - The Military Youth Advisory Board and a delegation of officers from the Lao People’s Army held talks on July 12 in Hanoi to exchange experience in youth work.

The event was held on the occasion of the Lao delegation’s trip to Vietnam to take part in a refresher course on military youth work in 2024.
Senior Colonel Tran Huu Dung, Deputy Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board, and Lieutenant Colonel Suliban Sophappanya, Deputy Head of the Youth Work Division of the Lao People’s Army, co-chaired the event.
During the talks, the two sides emphasized the constant development of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between neighboring countries of Vietnam and Laos over the past time. They stressed that defense cooperation is always an important pillar in the two countries’ relations.
The two sides agreed that as a key force directly implementing political missions of the military, young officers and military youths of Vietnam and Laos always inherit and promote the good traditions of each country and military and excellently fulfill all tasks. In addition, with their sentiments and sense of responsibility, both countries’ young officers and military youths have conducted a number of practical and effective activities, thereby consolidating and developing the special friendship between the two militaries.
The two sides openly shared experience, and clarified issues of common concern related to military youth work.
They confirmed that together with the military and people of the two countries, they would contribute strength of their youth to realizing set targets and raising each country’s role and position in the international arena.
