Vietnamese 'blue beret' doctors provide health check-ups for Ghanaian policewomen
PANO – The Vietnamese Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5 at the U.N. Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) recently launched a program to give health check-ups to 30 female officers of the Ghana Formed Police Unit in Bentiu, South Sudan.
Accordingly, they had their health checked via various categories, such as blood test, laparoscopy, thyroid ultrasound, obstetrics, X-ray, ECG, internal medicine examination, dental plaque, and oral health counseling.
The Ghanaian policewomen are very pleased with the warm reception and responsibility of members of the Vietnamese Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 5.
Also at the program, the hospital presented gifts to the Ghanaian policewomen and provided them with information about the foundation day of the Vietnamese People’s Public Security Force (August 19).
Such meaningful activity contributed to deepening solidarity between the two sides who are conducting U.N. peacekeeping operations at the UNMISS, and also underlining the role and participation of women in the noble duty.
Below are several photos of the event.
