During the event, the two sides reviewed and assessed the outcomes of their cooperation from August 2024 to August 2025. Key areas of collaboration included delegation exchanges, joint patrols, and information sharing.
Both parties expressed high appreciation for the recent visit by Commander of the Royal Thai Navy Admiral Jirapon Wongwit to the Vietnam People’s Navy in July and voiced satisfaction with the outcomes of the 48th and 49th joint patrols, joint search and rescue drills, and their basic naval training programs.

The Thai side took the occasion to thank the Vietnamese Navy for hosting the 9th information exchange conference in Hai Phong, reaffirming the event as a vital platform for official naval communication between the two countries.
The Royal Thai Navy pledged to continue offering training slots to Vietnamese officers at the Royal Thai Naval Command and Staff College and suggested the Vietnam People’s Navy hold Vietnamese language training courses for Thai naval officers.

At the event, both sides agreed to organize the 6th Naval Bilateral Consultation in Thailand and the 50th and 51st joint patrols in 2026. They also discussed plans for a port call by a Royal Thai Navy vessel to Hai Phong in 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Thailand.
