Young Vietnamese officers join meaningful exchange activities in Laos

On July 10, the delegation visited the Kaysone Phomvihane National Defense Academy, where both sides exchanged views on training and the development of high-quality military personnel. They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation among military academies and institutions through specialized training, professional exchanges and regular officer exchange programs.

The Academy's leadership expressed confidence that, under the guidance of the Ministries of National Defense and the General Departments of Political Affairs of both countries, educational cooperation would continue to deepen, helping develop a new generation of capable military officers.

Earlier, the delegation met with the Party Committee of Vientiane Provincial Military Command to exchange experience on improving Party and political work at the grassroots level, strengthening ideological education for troops, and countering misinformation in cyberspace. Major General Soutchay Mahavong, Political Commissar of the Vientiane Provincial Military Command, shared practical experience in mass mobilization and fostering military-civilian relations.

While in Laos, the Vietnamese delegation also visited the Lao People's Army History Museum and presented a large digitally restored color photograph capturing the historic meeting between Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane.
