Vietnamese and Chinese units conduct joint patrol
PANO – The Border Post of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate under the Ha Giang provincial Border Guard Command of Vietnam cooperated with the Exit and Entry Checkpoint of Tianbao Border Guard of Yunnan (China) to conduct a joint patrol on September 16.

During the patrol, the two sides checked the areas from border marker 261/2 to marker 260+500 and exchanged information related to importing and exporting activities, illegal border crossing situation, and COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control.
The two units also reviewed measures to prevent illegal border crossings and raise the quality of law enforcement in border areas. They checked border markers and violations in the areas and disseminated to raise the awareness of people living along the shared borderline about executing the law.
After checking, the two sides evaluated that the borderline and border markers remain intact, and people living along the borderline strictly observe the agreement on regulations on border management and inked document on managing border gates.
After the patrol, the Border Post of Thanh Thuy International Border Gate and the Exit and Entry Checkpoint of Tianbao Border Guard held an experience-drawing meeting and reached agreement on the time and locations of the next patrols.
They agreed to continue their coordination, foster the management and protection of the borderline and prevention of crime, deal with illegal border exit and entry activities, and effectively combat the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to building a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
