Accordingly, both sides patrolled from border markers No.501 to No.502 along the Vietnam-China borderline to check situations in border areas, border markers and maintain security and order; exchange information exchange and address arising issues related to national sovereignty, security and order.

The two sides conduct a night patrol.

After the patrol, heads of the two patrol teams shared information related to recent situational developments in border areas. The two sides evaluated that the joint patrol was concluded successfully, meeting the set requirements.

In the time to come, the two units will continue to exchange situations in border areas; coordinate with each other to handle rising issues in border management and protection as well as in the fight against crime.

Heads of the two patrol teams review patrol activities.

They will also enhance information dissemination and education on regulations of the three legal documents on Vietnam-China land border and the two countries’ laws; border-related knowledge and policies for local people on both sides of the shared border.

Moreover, both sides would continue to strengthen joint patrols to promptly detect and prevent criminal activities, especially illegal border crossings, human trafficking and smuggling, among others.
