Vietnam’s naval ship join international fleet review in Langkawi
PANO - Frigate 011-Dinh Tien Hoang of the Vietnam People’s Navy on March 23 afternoon joined 41 warships of foreign countries in an international fleet review in Tanjung Malai Bay, Langkawi, Malaysia.
The fleet review was part of the ongoing LIMA 2017 hosted by Malaysia.
Malaysian Minister of Defense YB Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein on board KD Perantau, a hydrographic vessel of the Royal Malaysian Navy, chaired the event.
Also aboard KD Perantau were Commander of Malaysian Defense Forces General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor and representatives of participating foreign navies.

The first participation of Vietnam’s naval ship in a LIMA has attracted much attention from other participants. Fleet review is organized in special cases and participated by scores of vessels. The fleet review in LIMA 2017 drew the participation of 42 ships, including 17 ships from the Royal Malaysian Navy, 16 ships from foreign navies and 9 ships from Malaysia’s law enforcement forces at sea
