As part of the trip, the 011 - Dinh Tien Hoang will conduct several missions, including long voyage training, patrolling along the waters and continental shelf in the South, inspecting conditions of weapons and equipment, improving command capabilities and combat readiness posture at sea of officers on board the ship, creating opportunity for officers and sailors to exchange and learn experiences from their regional peers and to promote coordination with other foreign navies.

As scheduled, the Vietnamese warship will join a ship parade and a LIMA 2017 sea exercise in ship formation for photos taken, rescuing people in distress at sea, providing logistics at sea and other activities.
