In this expo, HITACO has a booth. The company hopes that the expo will help it introduce and promote its capability to partners at home and abroad, further cooperate with world leading manufacturers. The expo will be a place for the company to meet, exchange, evaluate products, technologies and learn about development trend and technological advance. Based on what it grasps during the expo, the company will give advice to Vietnamese arms and services to choose materiel that meet the Vietnam People’s Army’s demands and future development.

During the expo, scheduled to take place on December 8-10, the company plans to promote trade, chair technical seminars, exchanges and discussions with topics focusing on defense technical solutions concerned by services and arms.
Given the fact that the Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022, the first edition to be hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, is one of the important defense diplomacy events this year with the aim of strengthening and expanding international cooperation, defense diplomacy, and building trust between Vietnam and countries worldwide, HITACO has been making thorough preparations to achieve highest efficiency in engaging in it, said the company’s Chairman Lieutenant Colonel Luong Ngoc Hung. Chairman Hung added that HITACO is a state-owned enterprise under the General Department of Technical Services with diverse functions and duties, and operating in different fields.
Founded in 1997, HITACO is operating in five main areas: technology consultation and transfer; military trade; mechanical production; provision of a general solution on document management and storage; and training according to the military’s needs. These have importantly contributed to the national construction and defense cause. The company has also provided products and services to meet the national industrialization and modernization cause in the new situation and international economic integration.
As confirmed by Lieutenant Colonel Luong Ngoc Hung, with the assigned functions and tasks, the company has, over the past time, constantly developed strongly, effectively performed defense and security consolidation coupled with production, business and economic development duties. It has also acted as a bridge that links arms and services together and military units under the Ministry of National Defense and stayed ready to undertake and fulfill the Ministry of National Defense-assigned key political missions.
In terms of technology consultation and transfer, the company implements science and technology-related tasks, including consultation, application, transfer of technology to serve the people's daily life and national defense and security tasks.
Attentively, the company is tasked with collecting information about foreign countries’ weapons and military technical equipment, and technological documents to serve projects and programs on upgrading existing weapons. It is also responsible for serving major projects of the Ministry of National Defense and defense industry development programs. Alongside seeking and taking advantage of new and modern foreign technologies to introduce, consult and transfer to units in the whole military, HITACO has also organized workshops, promoted cooperation, provided technical advice and signed technology transfer contracts.
Attentively, the company has given suggestions and introduced solutions to services and arms to convert, extend and modernize specialized materiel, such as technical recca system, vehicle information system for technical reconnaissance, missiles A87/A89, tank T54B, tank view finder system, Malyutka anti-tank missile complex. These advice and introductions have received high trust and appreciation from units in the whole military.
In trade, HITACO has provided weapons, materials, equipment, and spare parts for services and arms, and other military units to implement their modernization and combat readiness duties.
With its experience and strengths, and active engagement in the expo, HITACO hopes to continue to expand its partnership to meet assigned tasks.
