Reportedly, the trainees come from agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense and also military schools, while the instructors are experienced officers of the General Department of Defense Industry, the Department of Internal Security Protection under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of National Defense.

An overview of the opening ceremony

During the two-day long course, the trainees will be equipped with protocol knowledge and learn more about areas where the expo’s activities take place. Meanwhile, the course is expected to raise the trainees’ political stance and responsibility ahead the important external defense event of the country and the Ministry of National Defense this year.

In his opening speech, Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thang, Deputy Director of the Ministry of National Defense’s Department of Foreign Relations cum Head of the expo’s Protocol Sub-committee underlined that this is the first time the Ministry of National Defense hosts an international defense expo. It is considered an important event in the country’s external defense policy, whereby it affirms the Ministry of National Defense’s position towards the country’s common missions and opens new opportunities for the defense industry sector of Vietnam and partners.

Senior Colonel Pham Manh Thang also stressed the important role of those who will be liaison officers and interpreters to the success of the expo. Thus, he asked the trainees to raise their political stance and responsibility to try their best in studying during the course. Meanwhile, the instructors were urged to wholeheartedly help the trainees to acquire relevant knowledge as much as possible.
