According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Military Youth Board and the Vietnamese delegation, this is the seventh year the two militaries have conducted the young officer exchange program.

He hoped that through activities at several Vietnamese units, the Indian delegation could learn more about Vietnam and its people, the Vietnam People's Army, and Vietnam's defense external affairs, thus actively contributing to enhancing mutual trust and understanding between the two militaries and two countries.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Viet Nang (R) presents a gift to Captain Mukesh Kurmar.

During the exchange, Lieutenant Colonel Nang proposed that the two sides need to be more active in promoting information dissemination on contents of the Joint Vision Statement on Vietnam-India Defense Cooperation in the 2015-2020 period and the agreements signed by the two defense ministries for young officers, strengthening exchange programs and sharing experiences in military operations.

For his part, Captain Mukesh Kurmar, head of the Indian delegation, expressed his admiration for the Vietnamese military discipline and hoped to continue to closely cooperate with the Vietnam People's Army in sharing experiences, thereby contributing to the good cooperation between the two militaries and two countries in the coming time.
