Vietnam, India promote medical cooperation
PANO - A delegation of the Military Medical Academy, led by its Director Lieutenant General Do Quyet, paid a working visit to India from January 14 to 17, at the invitation of Lieutenant General Bipin Puri, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services under the Indian Defense Ministry.
At the talk on January 14, Gen. Bipin Puri warmly welcomed the Vietnamese delegation for their first visit to India, considering it a contribution to enhance the defense cooperation between the two countries in general and military medical cooperation in particular. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Vietnamese Military Medical Academy in all fields of medical services, which India has experience and strength.

Within the framework of the visit to India, the Vietnamese delegation also had working sessions with the Hospital of Aerospace Medicine Indian Air Force, the Armed Forces Medical College, and the Institute of Naval Medicine INHS Asvini.
The two sides agreed to submit suggestions to leaders of the two defense ministries in implementing cooperation contents such as training cooperation and scientific researches on military medicine and aviation medicine.
India also vowed to send its experts and doctors to the Vietnamese Military Medical Academy to exchange and support the Vietnamese unit in aviation medicine, military medicine, as well as submarine and underwater medicine. Meanwhile, Vietnamese military doctors will come to India to exchange their experiences in training activities, pilot selection and examination.
