At the conference, Senior Colonel Van affirmed that Vietnam always attaches much importance to enhancing the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with the Czech Republic, in which defense relations play an important role. The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense spoke highly of the opening of the Office of Defense Attaché of the Czech Republic in Vietnam in August 2020, hoping that it will contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation between the two defense ministries, he added. The Vietnamese officer stressed that the conference brought an opportunity  for the two sides to discuss measures to boost their defense cooperation in the time to come.

Both side agreed that so far the bilateral defense relations have been actively implemented, especially in training, air defense - air force and scientific research cooperation, technological transferring and defense industry.

The two officials underlined that the potential for defense cooperation between the two countries remains significant. Therefore, the two sides should promote cooperation in delegation exchange at all levels, training, defense industry, U.N. peacekeeping operations, and so on. Additionally, both sides should enhance the signing of cooperation documents, consider the establishment of bilateral working groups on defense relations.
