Vietnam, Czech promote defense cooperation
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Defense Minister, on March 15, hosted a reception for Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Lukas Kaucky on his official visit to Vietnam.
Addressing the meeting, Gen. Truong emphasized that since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Defense Cooperation in 2012, the two defense ministries have carried out many activities to promote defense cooperation, focusing on delegation exchange, human resource development, defense industry and technical assurance.

He also asked the two sides to continue to strengthen visits and exchanges of all-level delegations, promote scientific research cooperation, information sharing on issues of common concern, and create favorable conditions for defense enterprises of the two countries to explore cooperation opportunities.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lukas Kaucky shared the same view with Gen. Truong and affirmed the Czech Republic's willingness to support Vietnam in expanding defense cooperation with the European Union (EU) and enhance human resource development for the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense.
