Vietnam-Czech defense ties deepened: Czech ambassador
PANO - The bilateral defense ties between Vietnam and the Czech Republic have been intensively developing, especially after the signing of a memorandum of understanding on bilateral defense cooperation in 2012.

This was stated by Czech Ambassador to Vietnam Vitezslav Grepl during a reception given to him at the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense’s headquarters on May 4 hosted by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of National Defense.
The Czech diplomat confirmed that the country attaches much attention to its friendship and cooperation with Vietnam. He also spoke highly of the development of the bilateral ties between the two nations in different areas over the past time, stressing that defense cooperation is one of the crucial pillars of that ties.
Showing his agreement with the guest’s evaluation, Gen. Vinh said that there remains much room for promoting the two nations’ bilateral defense ties. He suggested the two militaries boost delegation exchanges, cooperation on education and training, defense industry and overcoming consequences of UXO left over from wars.
