The exchange holds important significance. This is an occasion for the Vietnamese and Chinese young coast guard officers to discuss, exchange and share experience, thereby promoting the friendship tradition and solidarity between the two militaries in general and the two forces in particular.

An overview of the conference

This year, the exchange is scheduled to take place in China from July 2 to 4 with many meaningful activities, such as talks on law enforcement at sea, visiting the Nanhai Coast Guard Division’s barracks and planting trees, paying a courtesy visit on Hainan province’s leaders, among others.

Vietnam has selected 25 coast guard officers who have good English language skills and are good at arts and sports to join the exchange with their Chinese counterparts.

In order to prepare for the exchange, the delegation is practicing to improve their physical strength, and contents of the exchange program, as well as regulations during the event.

At the conference, Major General Vu Trung Kien affirmed the importance of the exchange, adding that participating officers will be messengers sending the message of friendship and solidarity between the two forces.

He also requested the delegation to raise responsibility and follow all regulations, promote solidarity and support each other during their task implementation. Besides, they should spend time sharing experience and cultivating the tradition of friendship and solidarity, contributing to deepening the cooperation between the two coast guard forces.
