A view of the talks

The visit was to realize the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and the Chinese Ministry of Public Security on establishing a three-level law enforcement coordination mechanism in border control in border gate areas and in land border management.

As part of the exchange program, the Vietnamese and Chinese delegations, led by Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard Command Lt. Gen. Nguyen Anh Tuan and Deputy Director of the Chinese administration Li Junjie, visited a cultural exhibition, relic site of the headquarters of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League, and affiliates of the Chinese administration.

During the talks between the two delegations, the two sides straightforwardly discussed, evaluated results of their coordination, agreed to further their collaboration in general and exchange on political work in particular in an intensive and comprehensive manner, thereby maintaining an environment of peace, friendship, stability in border and border gate areas between Vietnam and China.

Both sides spoke highly of the efficiency of the political exchange launched 10 years ago. They also highlighted exchanges in political work at command/administration-level, culture and sports, sharing of experiences, and exchange between young border guard officers of Vietnam and young officials of the Chinese administration, as well as twinning activities.

Lt. Gen. Nguyen Anh Tuan suggested the two sides increase exchange activities, further cooperate in political work, improve effectiveness of twinning activities, and multiply the model “Ambassador of friendship,” and “Typical Party member,” promote law dissemination, among others.
