In his opening speech, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the forum creates opportunities for nations worldwide to monitor defense sector development and expand cooperation in defense technology and science. The President drew upon Indonesia's fight for complete independence, highlighting how modern defense capabilities now serve broader social goals, including poverty reduction, alongside military missions.

The exhibition, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia, spans nearly 70,000 square meters, strategically divided into various specialized areas.

On the occasion, President Prabowo witnessed the signing of 18 Memoranda of Understanding on cooperation in defense industry between Indonesia and participating nations.

The event also features workshops focusing on technology transfer and defense cooperation, as well as networking sessions between international businesses and policy makers.
