Vice Chairman of China's CMC visits Regiment 102, concludes visit to Vietnam
PANO - As part of his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission (CMC), and Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, on the morning of October 25, Senior Lieutenant General Zhang Youxia, Politburo member and Vice Chairman of China's CMC, visited Regiment 102 of Division 308 under Army Corps 12.

Accompanying the delegation were Deputy Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei. The delegation visited the regiment’s hall of fame, learning about its history, feats-of-arms, and achievements over the years, and toured soldiers’ quarters and other areas within the unit’s barracks.

In the afternoon the same day, Senior Lieutenant General Zhang Youxia and the Chinese delegation visited the Vietnam Military History Museum in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi. The delegation toured various exhibits, gaining insights into Vietnam’s history and the development of the Vietnam People's Army.

* Later the day, Senior Lieutenant General Zhang Youxia and the Chinese military delegation left Hanoi, successfully concluding the official visit to Vietnam from October 24 to 26 at the invitation of General Phan Van Giang. The visit has contributed to concretizing the common perceptions of senior leaders of the two parties and countries, while strengthening defense-security cooperation as one of the important pillars of Vietnam-China relations.
