Chinese CMC’s vice chairman arrives in Hanoi for official Vietnam visit

PANO - Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of China Three-star General Zhang Youxia arrived in Hanoi on October 24 morning, starting his official visit to Vietnam from October 24-26 at the invitation of Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam General Phan Van Giang.

Deputy Minister of National Defense Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei welcomed the Chinese official and the Chinese delegation at Noi Bai International Airport.

The visit to Vietnam by Three-star General Zhang Youxia aims to realize the high-level common perceptions, continue to develop the bilateral defense cooperation in an intensive, practical and effective manner. It also demonstrates the importance attached to promoting the two countries’ comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and the building of a community with a shared future that carries strategic meaning.

The visit serves as an opportunity for the two sides to review their cooperation results gained over the past time and discuss and reach agreement on the development of the bilateral defense relations in the time ahead.
