Within the framework of CIMIC, Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 2, in association with the UNMISS and the Ministry of Education, Gender Equality and Social Welfare in Unity State (South Sudan), have just handed over 31 sets of desks and chairs, 100 sets of alphabet letters and learning tools, and toys to students of Bentiu B Primary School in Unity State.

Notably, the learning tools, the alphabet letters and toys are made from recycled plastic, contributing to protecting the environment.

To build the desks and chairs, members of L2FH Rotation 2 used wood from wooden cargo containers. All of the reclaimed wood slats were coated with oil to prevent termites.

Representatives of the UNMISS and UNICEF highly appreciated the work of Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 2. In addition, leaders of Bentiu B Primary School expressed their deep gratitude upon receiving the gifts.

On the occasion, personnel of Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 2 introduced students to the importance of face masks and hand washing.

The People’s Army Newspaper would like to introduce several photos of the project taken by a correspondent in Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 2.
