Vietnam’s L2FH Rotation 2 departs for peacekeeping missions
PANO - The Australia’s military transport aircraft C-17A Globemaster III carrying 30 personnel of the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 2 of Vietnam on November 26 left Hanoi for UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan.
Earlier, the military transport aircraft C-17A Globemaster III carrying 29 personnel of the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 2 of Vietnam safely landed at Juba International Airport, South Sudan and successfully brought the first troops of the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 1 of Vietnam to return home after completing their peacekeeping missions.
On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense's leaders, Rear Admiral Nguyen Trong Binh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, representatives from the ministry’s units, Australian Ambassador Ms Robyn Mudie and relatives of the troops attended the ceremony to bid farewell to the 30 personnel.
Speaking at the event, Binh expressed his belief that the officers and staff will overcome all difficulties to fulfill their assigned tasks, and further promote the noble virtues and images of Uncle Ho's soldiers to international friends.
He affirmed that the skills and qualifications that have been carefully honed in the pre-deployment period will help the Vietnamese personnel of the Level-2 Field Hospital (L2FH) Rotation 2 to continue reaping achievements like the first level-2 field hospital in South Sudan.
"The officers and staff need to uphold the solidarity and tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and spread an appeal for peace, thus contributing to affirm Vietnam as an active and responsible member of the international community,” he added.
PANO would like to introduce some photos of the ceremony.
