Addressing the event, Major General Ta Quang Chuyen, Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense Journal, evaluated that during more than two weeks, despite many difficulties, the officers, instructors and trainees accomplished assigned missions, meeting the set targets and obtained good results.

During the course, Lao trainees conducted research, learned, and exchanged experience in the organization and operation methods of the National Defense Journal; journalism and publishing activities; learning from reality; and exchanged experience in writing articles for dissemination in several agencies and units of the Vietnam People's Army.

An overview of the event

The course also offered an opportunity for Lao officers to learn about Vietnam’s landscape, people and culture, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and tightening the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and peoples.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Phonesy Angkhamhieng, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense Journal of the Laos People’s Army, thanked the Vietnamese side for creating favorable conditions for Lao officers to complete all contents of the course.

He affirmed that Lao trainees would apply acquired knowledge in reality in a creative and effective manner, contributing to promoting the development of dissemination work of the Lao People’s Army.
