Before the closing ceremony, delegates observed a minute's silence in commemoration of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

During one-month long course, 20 officers of the Lao People’s Army were equipped with basic knowledge about archival work and application of information technology to task implementation. Thanks to the course, the trainees will apply the knowledge to raising the quality and efficiency of archival work.

The Lao trainees also studied digital archiving, sterilization and deacidification methods, and procedures for restoring and preserving paper documents. They were also provided with the Hanoi Capital Military Command’s experience in the archival practices and the Ministry of National Defense’s Data Center’s experience in document collection and management, and the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel)’s digital transformation efforts.

Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Van Chinh, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Central Military Commission - the Office of the Ministry of National Defense, acknowledged the outcomes of the course. He expected that the participating officers of the Lao People’s Army, with their pro-activeness and creativity, would apply the acquired knowledge to their task performance to raise the quality and effectiveness of the work, thus meeting higher requirements of missions.
