Preparations for ACAMM-23, AARM-30, and ASMAM-10 checked
PANO – The Ministry of National Defense held a meeting on October 4 to deploy plans of organizing the 23rd ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting (ACAMM-23), the 30th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM-30), and the 10th ASEAN Army Sergeant Majors Annual Meeting (ASMAM-10) to relevant units.
The event was chaired by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.

At the meeting, functional agencies of the defense ministry reported on their preparations for these events. Particularly, they have actively built concrete plans for the meetings, trained relevant personnel, and allocated places for these events.
For the AARM-30 event, the organizers launched training courses for referees and exercises for participating forces while reinforcing training grounds, conducting COVID-19 prevention and control and, preparing the opening and closing ceremonies, to name but a few.

Speaking at the event, General Nghia stressed the importance of the events, asked relevant units to regularly review and conduct good preparations for the two meetings and the competition, contributing to ensuring safety and leaving good impressions on participants.
The ACAMM, AARM, and ASMAM are held on a rotary basis among ASEAN countries. These are meaningful activities for the militaries of the regional countries to exchange and learn from each other, contributing to strengthening their solidarity and friendship.
